Cooking up a better way to build

I didn’t realize brick-making cost the world so much: 800 million tons of CO2 emissions yearly, to be precise.

Where I grew up, concrete hollow blocks and poured cement in-situ are the traditional building methods. The masses still do not believe in prefab building to this day.

In Singapore, brick-laying is still the construction method of choice (no wonder the dust is pink here!).

Reading Dexigner today, I just learned about a better way to make bricks – read the link –¬†about this amazing female architect (who’s my age! Oh my…): Ginger Dosier, and see if it doesn’t turn you into a fan, as well.
